Grand Lake Fireworks, Inc. presents:

The 4^th Annual Grand Lake Fireworks Festival

Disney Island, OK, Saturday, July 7, 2012.

This year’s daytime events will include a Carnival, performances by Lumberjack Enterprises, MN. and United Freestyle Stunt Team Ft. Worth. We are also excited to welcome The Met Life Blimp to Grand Lake! Wind and weather permitting.

The main event, the “Grand” Lake Fireworks Display over the water, will start after sunset.

Come by boat or come by land to witness the production by AM Pyrotechnics, Buffalo, MO.

Our show is easily accessible, no lines, no wake restrictions, and wide open water.

If you don’t have a boat, watch at one of our scenic parks, there’s lots of room for everyone!

We celebrate our heroes and honor our ancestors who fought for our freedom here at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees!

This fireworks’ show is dedicated to the memory of one of Grand Lake’s most prominent supporters-Cliff Elliott. Cliff, we know you’ll be looking down on us with that beautiful smile that used to light up the lake as much as these fireworks hope to do.

Grand Lake Fireworks, Inc. is a non-profit organization that raises money from surrounding businesses, organizations, and individuals. Every cent raised goes into the production and attractions. Big John’s Meat Run & Grand Lake Fireworks – Thank You!

We have to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Grand Lake Fireworks Pancake and BBQ fundraiser in association with Big John’s Meat Run in Disney. There were soooo many people out crawling around Disney and South Grand Lake…you’d have thought it was the middle of the summer! Many Thanks to Paula Silzer for the photo below.

Big John's Meat Run 2012

Word on the street is there were over 3,000 people in Disney last weekend…THREE THOUSAND! Everyone had a great time, and the South Grand Lake business community really owes John and Edie Sumner a great big THANK YOU for all there efforts in organizing the Meat Run and bringing all of these people to Disney. Everyone associated with Grand Lake Fireworks sure does appreciate you!!

We’ve also got to thank Smokin’ Bones BBQ for once again donating all the meats and doing all the smoking; our Grand Lake Fireworks Board of Directors, and especially that special lady Ms Patsy Coaly, for selling the most ipad raffle tickets.

Speaking of the ipad….a great big Fireworks CONGRATULATIONS to young Jaden Jacobs, 17, of Arkansas City, Kansas, for winning the ipad2, courtesy of Grand Lake Fireworks.

In Memory of Cliff Elliott

Grand Lake Fireworks lost one of it’s best friends and supporters, when Cliff Elliott passed away recently at his home between Langley and Ketchum. Cliff always looked forward to our show, and his family loved the weekend of the 4th every year when Cliff would assemble everyone at his cabin in Tia Juana…with his own arsenal of Big Booms and then they would all enjoy our fantastic Grand Lake Fireworks show.

Cliff has been laid to rest, and his family has so generously asked that in lieu of flowers, financial donations be made to Grand Lake Fireworks. We are so very thankful, but we’d much rather have Cliff here with us instead.

Anyway, as we move on, we are proud to announce that the 2012 Grand Lake Fireworks show will be dedicated to Cliff Elliott.

Alright, all that said…WE ARE STILL RAFFLING OFF AN IPAD2!!!!

You can buy tickets throughout the South Grand Lake area at First State Bank in Ketchum & Disney, Ketchum Tag Agency and Langley Tag Agency.

And, don’t forget, Long John’s Big Meat Run is coming up in Disney on March 16 & 17. We will be set up at Disney Town Hall with breakfast and BBQ fundraisers.

Grand Lake Fireworks & Long John’s Big Meat Run 2012 & Win an Ipad!

Grand Lake Fireworks 2012 is on and kickin’! We’ve got a bunch going on, so here is the update..

Our great friends, Long John & Edie Sumner, are putting on Long John’s Big Meat Run 2012 on March 16 & 17 in Disney. This is an awesome yearly event with rock crawlers coming from all over the south central US to crawl around below Pensacola Dam.

If you’ve never been a part of this event, your missing out. It is truly AWESOME!

Anyway, Grand Lake Fireworks will be having our first big fundraiser of 2012 during the Big Meat Run with a breakfast and BBQ at Disney City Hall!

Now, about that ipad…

We are raffling off an ipad (might even be an ipad2!)!

Tickets are $10, or 2 for $15. As usual, all proceeds go to support Grand Lake’s BEST FIREWORKS SHOW!

We will be out all over South Grand Lake selling raffle tickets, so chances are pretty good we’ll catch you. But, if we don’t, raffle tickets are also for sale at First State Bank in Ketchum and Disney! And, coming to additional businesses soon…we’ll keep you updated.

When we meet our financial goal this year, we plan to add so events to our festive day for kids in and around Disney. Make sure to stay tuned for more info on these exciting developments.

Grand Lake Fireworks 2012 -It’s Time to Get Started!

First, the important stuff…the 2012 Grand Lake Fireworks Show will be on Saturday, July 7th. So…mark your calendar!

Now, as for other business…

We can’t wait to welcome all of the participants to the 6th Annual ROCKTOBER FEST in Disney the weekend of October 22nd!

The Grand Lake Fireworks crew will be holding our first fundraiser of the new year (you’ve got to realize, we measure years in fireworks shows!).

On Saturday, October 22nd, we will be hanging out all day at the Disney City Hall. Among other things, we will have

Chicken & Waffles Breakfast!
BBQ lunch courtesy of SMOKIN BONES out of Owasso, Oklahoma!
Silent Auction ALL DAY LONG – featuring, among many other things….TWO SUITE TICKETS to the OU/Iowa St Football game in Norman. BOOMER!!!!

All of the proceeds from this day will go to the 2012 Grand Lake Fireworks show…so, you know that it’s a great cause!

So, come see us on Saturday, October 22nd in Disney, support the Rock Crawlers, and get your chicken and waffles and BBQ on!!

Grand Lake Fireworks 2011 – Thank You Everyone!!!

How did you like the show? We thought it was awesome and everyone associated with Grand Lake Fireworks wants to thank each and every one of you who made this year’s show possible. Without our generous fireworks donors, this fantastic event would not be possible.

It is so worth the year’s worth of hard work when that first “BOOM” goes off!!

Guess what?

That’s right…we are already working on making next year’s even bigger and better!

Our first fundraiser for the 2012 Grand Lake Fireworks will be on October 15th with the Rock Crawlers that visit Pensacola Dam and support our surrounding communities in so many great ways.

The specifics aren’t set, but we are talking about some fried chicken and waffles for breakfast, a BBQ lunch/dinner as well as a silent auction with many great items, but featuring some jeep crawling accessories!

Again, Grand Lake Fireworks THANKS every single person who contributed in any way to this year’s spectacular show!

Alright…the lake is not closing and Grand Lake Fireworks 2011 is on as planned.

The barge has been loaded (maybe a few extra special double-knot spy secrets are still to be added) and all systems are go for this year’s best fireworks show.

Please, people, pay attention out there. Swim at your own risk…it’s a big ol’ lake!

But, come on out and enjoy the best fireworks show Grand Lake has to offer this year!
